Chris has spent more than 25 years in Public Relations, working in the voluntary, public and private sectors. She worked in-house for Barclays Bank, which she first joined as Head of PR for Barclaycard. 

Chris went on to hold several PR positions across the bank, looking after areas as diverse as business-to-business, international, Corporate Social Responsibility and IT before finally taking up the position of PR Director for the global Barclays Group.  

Since leaving Barclays Chris has set up her own PR consultancy working in areas ranging from the overseas aid sector to Fintech. She also provides media and crisis communications training, lecturing and mentoring. Chris is a CIPR Course Leader. She developed and currently leads the CIPR’s Crisis Communication Diploma.
