Katherine is a strategic communications, policy, crisis and risk management director with extensive experience of delivering Board, executive and senior counsel to FTSE listed companies, membership organisations, national government and charities. She offers a unique skillset gained through her careers as a City lawyer (litigation/regulation), External Affairs Director and Non-Executive Director.
She is a CIPR Chartered Fellow and is the Founder and Chair of the CIPR Crisis Communications Network. Katherine has extensive experience of managing and mitigating a broad spectrum of issues and risks including legal, regulatory, political, reputational and commercial. She specialises in strategic communication; crisis; reputation and risk management; corporate affairs; litigation and disputes; government and policy. She has extensive experience of instigating and leading ground-breaking projects to deliver transformation of business strategy and practice.
Her expertise stretches across healthcare, health and wellbeing, nutrition, food and drink, consumer brands, FMCG, retail, medical and pharmaceutical products, NHS, professional services, regulated industries, politics, livery companies and charities.
She is a committed Board member, Chair, Non-Executive Director and Trustee. In addition, she is a Past Master (2017-18) of the City of London Company of Communicators, the PR and communications’ industry’s livery company; a professional mediator (CEDR qualified); a project manager (Prince 2 qualified); a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts; and a Member of the Law Society. She holds a PGDip in Crisis Communications. In both 2023 and 2024 she was awarded the CIPR Volunteer Award for Outstanding Leadership.
