Rod is a Special Advisor to the CIPR’s Crisis Communication Network and chairs the EACD’s Crisis and Risk Communication Expert Group. He is the Principal of Rod Cartwright Consulting, a strategic communication consulting firm with a mission to enhance human preparedness, organisational resilience and business performance. 

He has advised major corporations and brands ranging from Nissan, IBM, Dell, Accenture, KFC and DHL to IATA, Toyota, Quorn, Western Union, McKinsey, P&G and Nomad Foods. His extensive frontline crisis experience includes advising the Chairman and CEO of Malaysia Airlines in the months following the disappearance of Flight MH370.

Rod has over 25 years of consulting experience, having held board-level positions at top-10 international agency networks including GCI, Hill + Knowlton Strategies and Ketchum. He was a Partner and Global Corporate Practice Director at Ketchum, before becoming EMEA Regional Director at Text100 (now Archetype).
