Merry Christmas

Season’s Greetings!

Wishing all our members and friends much happiness and joy during the festive season! Thank you all for supporting the CIPR Crisis Communications Network this year.

We’ve had another great year! During 2024 our membership grew by 25% and we currently have 908 members in over 40 countries. In addition our global LinkedIn following has grown to 2,845, an increase of 227%.

In June, Network committee members were incredibly proud to win 11 CIPR Volunteer Recognition Awards. In October we launched our second best practice guide,  Social Media and Crisis Communication, which has already proved to be extremely popular.

We are delighted to have hosted the CIPR’s top 3 most popular and well attended events of 2024. During the year we held eight events on a wide range of topics, which attracted 1,395 attendees, an increase of 55% over last year. The most popular were our events on Reputation, Risk and Resilience; the launch of the guide; and our interview with Professor Lucy Easthope.

We are so grateful to all our amazing speakers and to all of you for coming along. Thank you!

Earlier this month, we held our first in person Meet Up in London’s West End and were thrilled that so many of you could make it. One person even flew in from Ukraine! It really was fantastic to meet so many members and friends, old and new, and we plan to hold two more get-togethers next year.

During 2025 you will have an array of interesting events to look forward to again, so do stay tuned. In October we will also publish our next best practice guide.

Our purpose is to promote excellence and share best practice in crisis communications and we can’t do that without hearing from you, so please do let us know what you think at ciprccrisiscom@gmail.com and keep up with our monthly blogs and other information at ciprcrisiscommsnetwork.com.

And if you are reading this and are not yet a Network member just navigate to VisitMyCIPR/Preferences and tick the box!

In the meantime, we wish you all a very happy festive season and look forward to seeing you again in 2025.
